The mission of S & H Bait and Tackle Shop is to be the best, most visible, fishing product and information resource in St. Charles and Lincoln Counties in Missouri. We want travelers and locals to continue planning stopping at our store as an important step in their day of hunting and/or fishing. S & H Bait and Tackle strives to provide our customers with a friendly, clean environment and excellent customer service along with plentiful merchandise.
 
In 1975 S & H Bait and Tackle, located approximately 7 miles north of Highway 70 on Highway 79, was founded by a local family in the small town of St. Paul, MO where the business resides. Originating as a gas station, the owner found that at that time there was a bigger market in bait than there was in gasoline. So the gas station closed and "The Bait Shop" opened. "The Bait Shop" expanded their bait business by adding fishing tackle, liquor, tobacco products, groceries, snacks, and hunting supplies as there grew a large demand for these items.  The business has only had 2 previous owners to the current owner.  The customers are very dedicated and devoted to this small business, the only business of this type in their town.
